Sarah (Johnston) Barnett, C'06, was hired as the Deputy County Administrator for Powhatan County, Virginia, starting Oct 1, 2025. She also completed a Master of Public Administration.
Mollie (Siefert) Cecere, C’03, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Doctorate in Education in June of 2025. In May of 2025, Mollie was recognized as a Woman of Influence by the Pittsburgh Business Times.
Marisa (Meucci) Harmon, C’03, recently obtained her Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP). She also gave a lecture on "Difficult Discussions" during the annual Advanced Practice Provider (APP) conference.
Dr. Shawn Reming Jr., C'06 is the Smith Office for the Arts Program Manager at Smith College in Northampton, MA. He received his MA in History at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and his PhD in Social Anthropology at Queen's University of Belfast, in 2016.
Kristen Thomas Fuhrman, C'09 and Patrick Thomas were married on July 17, 2021, and have two children -- Dominic (born 11/28/21) and Francesca (born 5/20/24). Kristen works as a school counselor at Park City School District and has her own mental health private practice, Playful Minds PLLC.
Michael DiGangi, C'06, is a Forensic Behavioral Therapist. He earned a Master of Science in Administration of Justice. While pursuing his master's degree, he received the Criminal Behavior Academic Honor, was inducted into the Criminal Justice National Honor Society and earned a place on the Dean's List each semester.
Saint Vincent College alumni Dr. Robert Klaich, C’00, and Dr. Brian Klaich, C’98, continue to make their mark in the field of cosmetic dentistry, earning national and international recognition for their expertise and dedication to giving back. Both biology majors at SVC before earning their dental degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, the brothers were recently honored as co-recipients of the prestigious Evy Humanitarian Award by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). This award recognizes their extensive volunteer work with the Give Back A Smile Foundation, which provides dental care to survivors of domestic violence, as well as their broader charitable contributions to the community.
In addition to this distinguished honor, Dr. Robert Klaich received international recognition for a smile makeover at the 2025 Seattle Study Club Symposium in Key Biscayne, FL, where he was awarded “Best Case” in Full Mouth Reconstruction. In a dramatic presentation, the winner’s name was delivered via skydiving members of the Red Bull Air Force, underscoring the prestige of the competition. The Klaich brothers practice cosmetic dentistry at Cranberry Dental Studio in Cranberry Township, where they continue to transform lives through their exceptional skill and compassionate care.
Dr. Jamie Dunlap Coates, C’06, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Physical Therapy, tenure track, at Seton Hill University, where she serves as the Director of Clinical Education in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Aliesha (Pocratsky) Walz, C’07, was appointed as the new President and CEO of the Washington County Community Foundation. The WCCF is a non-profit organization based in Eighty-Four, PA. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to our mission of improving the quality of life in Washington County. The organization is thrilled to welcome her back to the Foundation in this vital leadership role!
Rena (Watson) Rankin, C’08, after graduating college, earned two master’s degrees in educational leadership and curriculum and instruction. She was promoted to middle school principal for the next school year in Kodiak, Alaska after serving two years as the assistant principal.
Bryan Macuga, C’02, was appointed as Superintendent of Schools at Steel Valley School District.
Sherrie Dunlap Gallagher, C’09, has been promoted to Major Gifts Officer at United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, a human services nonprofit covering five counties. In addition to her role, she serves on the United Way's Policy and Advocacy Committee. In the community, Sherrie serves as the Chair of Social Media on the Board for Association of Ladies of Charity Diocese of Pittsburgh and is a member of Ladies of Charity at Saint Mark the Evangelist Parish. Sherrie also serves on the Board of Directors of Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber where she serves as Chair of the Legislative & Economic Development Committee.
Dr. Bryan Christensen, C’01, was featured in the Winter 2015 issue of Saint Vincent Magazine for his work for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) with the Ebola outbreak. Over the summer, he started a new position at CDC as the Associate Director for Preparedness and Response in the Division of High Consequence Pathogens and Pathology. This position circles him back to his Ebola work that we featured in the Winter Magazine.
Dr. Hans Rocha IJzerman, C’03, welcomed his son Simón Antonio Rocha IJzerman on January 11, 2024. He went on unpaid leave from his job as associate professor and became director of his company, Annecy Behavioral Science Lab, which aims to reduce loneliness and social isolation.

Dr. Jolene (Wertz) Cole, C’06, was recently appointed as the University Librarian at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Dr. Cole has more than 15 years of experience in library and information science and is dedicated to promoting inclusive and transformative learning experiences for students. She holds an Ed.D. in higher education leadership and practice and a certificate in Higher Education Leadership from the renowned HERS (Higher Education Resources Services) Institute in Philadelphia, as well as a master's degree in library and information science from Simmons University in Boston, and a B.A. in history from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Paul Boland, C’08, was recently notified by The Guinness Book of World Records committee that he had broken the previous world record for the most weight lifted by dumbbell curls in one hour previously set at 35,547 lb. Paul Boland managed to set the new world record at 40,474 lb breaking the previous Arm Curl record by just short of 5,000 lb using the dumbbell. Sherrie Dunlap Gallagher, C’09, has been named the recipient of the Women's Leadership Excellence Award by the Pittsburgh North Regional Chamber at the Annual Awards Gala on May 8, 2025. This award honors a woman in the Chamber who exemplifies outstanding leadership, achievement, and contributions to the community, unwavering dedication, mentorship, and commitment to uplifting, encouraging, and empowering others. The Women’s Leadership Excellence Award is based on nominations and votes from PNRC Chamber members. Sherrie was also recently appointed to the Advisory Board for Butler County Community College’s Cranberry Campus. She continues to serve on the Advisory Board for the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Saint Vincent College.
