Enterprise Resource Planning

As the education & solutions lead at Stellar One, an Acumatica Value-Added Reseller, Derek Hile helps small to mid-sized businesses evaluate their fit for ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions and determine whether Stellar One is the right partner to guide their growth. His path to the ERP industry began at Saint Vincent College, where he was introduced to SAP Business One through the College’s business information systems program, led by Robert Markley, an instructor of business administration.

Heading into his junior year, Derek wasn’t sure where he was headed professionally. But after attending an open house for the SAP program, everything clicked. Derek found the perfect blend of technical challenge and personal connection, and it was exactly what he was looking for.

Since graduating in 2017, Derek has held a variety of roles—support specialist, project manager, account manager, consultant, and pre-sales engineer—across three ERP Value-Added Resellers. A career highlight, he says, has been mentoring six Saint Vincent students from the SAP Business One program during their summer internships. He finds it incredibly rewarding to help prepare the next generation of ERP professionals.

Derek lives in Phoenix, Arizona, with his wife, Annie Mulloy, C'17. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and cheering on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams.
